First, I want to let you know that I am moving my prior year designs from “Dropbox”, to “Mediafire”. So if you are having an issue with downloading some of my older designs, just shoot me an email and I will send you the latest link. In the meantime, I am working on revising all existing links. Thank you for your patience as I work through it.
And, just a reminder that I will be out of touch from May 3 – 7th. If you have any downloading issues or questions, I will get to them after the 7th. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I am off to have some fun!
Last month was a busy one for me – never seems to slow down. Sometimes I get really tired and think that I need to pass some of my responsibilities to the younger generation. They can do things better and faster. But then, I remember this quote and know that I need to continue on. You too. Remember, someone needs what you have to give. We all can contribute to the greater good, somehow, some way. Be kind. Be thoughtful. Think and taste your words before you speak them. You are the awesome ones that will not only make the world a better place but will also secure your place in eternity.

Design Theme: Spring Cleaning

When I learned of the theme for this month, I almost didn’t participate. I could not get energized about designing cleaning things – mops and brooms and pails of water? No. So, I must apologize for my lack of imagination and rebel ways – instead, I just (very quickly) made a mini-kit that will just add to your stash. Please visit the blog train forum to see the other designs – they have more talent and creativity than I!

Design Theme: Exotic Destinations
Designer: The Rush Ranch
I don’t have much experience with travel – When I was younger, I took ONE vacation to Acapulco. I have a few memories of it: There was a man in the hotel bar that had a sad story of loss. He had received a letter, and we heard his sad laughter for an hour, something said about how “he and Cortez had discovered the Acapulco Plaza”. I wanted to ask him about his story because people’s stories are so real and raw. But my husband wasn’t comfortable with me checking it out. We saw cliff divers and children selling things on the street. We saw armed military in the streets and poverty. I never went back again. I took a few vacations to Hawaii. Those were really special for me. I do have a few items on my bucket list, but I don’t think that I will ever be able to check them off :
I also want to visit every great art museum in the world. I know that there are awesome exotic beaches all over the world, and yes, I would love to put my toes in the sand – but I also love history. I love learning about places, and why they were originally settled. What makes them special?
So if you are a traveler, perhaps you will find this theme of “Exotic Destinations” perfect for your travel layouts. Please visit the blog train designers as they have come up with some beautiful designs.
