We Believe Blog Train – Feb ’19

Design Team:  We Believe Blog Train
Theme:  No Greater Love
Designer:  The Rush Ranch

Lots of snow here in Eastern Oregon.  Not as dramatic as the State of Washington, but lots of snow, nonetheless.  Everyone be safe and warm out there this week!  It’s a great time for easy and filling crockpot dinners, reading beloved books, and naps under the quilts.

Here is a quick recipe that you can easily change by adding different types of canned soups, such as mushroom, celery, or cream of chicken:

The theme over at the “We Believe” Facebook Group, is No Greater Love, as stated in the scripture of John 15:13:  “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (ESV).  I hope that you will be able to use this scripture in some way this month, either by verbally sharing with someone or making a card to send to a friend.  As humans, we will never be able to fathom the depth and breadth of God’s love for us.  Our capacity for knowledge and understanding is designed to meet our needs here on this earth, but one day, when heaven is revealed to us, we will understand HIS capacity for love, grace, compassion and mercy.

  1. Oh my goodness, that recipe looks YUMMY! I wonder how it would be in an Instant Pot? I have a crock pot but I’m working again and getting up early enough to prep a meal is just not in the cards. LOL. It’s hard enough getting up early enough to drive to work and be there at 7 without adding an hour to prep food. I’m just not enough of a morning person for THAT!

I’m in Eastern Washington, and we’ve been hammered. Sent home early from work one day last week, work delayed 2 hours another, cancelled altogether another day. This week’s been the same; one day delayed start, cancelled another, delayed start again, etc. Yesterday we started on time but they sent us home at 11:30 a.m. What a weird week, and not good for my paycheck since I’m an agency employee and don’t get paid for bad weather days. Sigh.

Thanks so much for your contributions, as always!

I make the ham and beans with potatoes in the crockpot too….LOL…only I use chicken broth instead of water. Great warming and filling meal that i share with my renters! Continue your progress and heal quickly. Thanks again for the awesome gifts! hugs, Mat
