Scrappin Your Heart Out – Sept ’18

Design Team:  Scrappin Your Heart Out
Theme:  I Could Have Scrapped All Night
Designer:  The Rush Ranch

Sorry this is a short note this time.  It’s been a busy week of organizing some church activities and coordinating various paperwork items.  Our Pastor is retiring, and some of the activities that he led have to be covered by others in the interim, until we get a new shepherd in his place.  Life goes on, we move forward knowing that all is accordance with HIS great plan.

We are traveling to the Oregon Coast this weekend, taking the three dogs with us.  The horses and other animals will be tended to well, by my grandson. I need a small break to walk the beach, breath in the sea air, and listen to waves crash upon the shore.  We will only have two days, but it will be two days immersed in one of my favorite places.  My mind clears, my thoughts become uncluttered, and I feel renewed.  There is something so AWESOME about sitting on the beach at sunset, watching the sky change and the setting sun fade into twilight.  I love the mornings, too, but I am usually the only one up at that hour.  Makes for a peaceful and slow morning, as I meander along the foggy shore.

This month’s theme is called “I could have scrapped all night”.  I encourage you to visit the other designers in the blog train, as they are much more creative in their work that I.  My designs are free for CU, all I ask (again) is that you perform a kindness for someone.  It’s up to each one of us to change the world, one kindness at a time.  And honestly, don’t you always feel really good yourself, after performing a kindness?  Of course you do.

  3. Ah, the beach. It has been far too long for me. Love to hear the crashing waves and smell the ocean air; explore the tidal pools and just dig my toes in the sand. I hope you have a very enjoyable time. Thank you for another beautiful kit.

  4. I love reading your blog and your sharing your life with others. I understand the desire to get away once in a while and take a good look at where we are going in this life. Life brings about so many changes in our churches, families, and friends. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with it all. God bless you and keep up the good work.

  5. We have no ocean and we have no sea where we can partake of the beautiful blue water and listen to the waves with the sunlight glowing even through your closed eyelids. Here in Wisconsin we head north to the great lakes and watch the fall colors and the huge ships from foreign countries come into port. That is where I take my rest and rejuvenate my soul. As usual you bring peace to my heart and goodness to my soul! Love you, Sunny!!

  6. My granma lived in Portland OR and we used to go to the beach at least once when we were able to visit her every summer (we lived in MT). I love my memories of the Oregon coast! Enjoy! Thanks for a wonderful mini kit once again!

  7. Thanks so much for your beautiful contributions! And I hope you had a good weekend at the Oregon Coast! We usually go to Lincoln City; it was my husband’s family’s go-to spot when visiting their grandpa in Salem. We haven’t been yet this year because of all the other trips we’ve had (spring in southern Utah to see Bryce, Canyonlands, Zion, and in August we went back to Utah for our daughter’s college graduation). Hubby would like to go in storm season, so we might yet try to swing that. I hope you had fun!
